The second generation of the model was produced in 2004-2010. Not differing in terms of style from its predecessor, however, it was a car of larger dimensions (in terms of length and wheelbase, it was even the record holder of the C segment) and greater technical capabilities. It was built on the Ford C1 platform platform, just like the Mazda 3, Volvo S40 and C70. Like its predecessor, it continued its market success. It was modernized in 2008.
