Seller's comments about 1988' Mercedes-Benz W124
For sale Mercedes 124 with an armored, indestructible 3.0 naturally aspirated diesel engine. It works flawlessly, is powerful, dynamic and economical (6.3 l/100 km on the road). Oil changed every 10,000 km, and in the meantime I don't add a gram because it doesn't run out. The engine is dry, a year ago the complete timing belt, water pump, tensioner and accessory belt were replaced. The first owner of the car in Poland was an elderly gentleman from Tychy (born in 1945), who brought it personally from Germany in 2005. He took great care of it, kept it in a warm garage, and did not drive it in the winter. Therefore, the car has been preserved in a very good condition for its age. all elements have the original varnish, only in some places touch-ups are made, where the slightest signs of rust appeared. There are no holes or corrosion on the bottom.
From new, it is equipped with a Becker Avus radio, fully functional.
The entire exhaust system, from the manifolds to the muffler, was replaced with a new one in 2021.
In 2019, the alternator was replaced with a new one, rear shock absorbers, shaft support, pads, discs and brake shoes. Gearbox and axle oil. Under the eco-leather covers, the seats are in great condition, the driver's seat is visible in the photos.
I have owned the car since August 2019 and it has never let me down. Twice it took part in the charity event for vintage cars Rally Koguta Oława-Zakopane and Oława-Giżycko and presented itself beautifully there.
I'm only selling it because I already have too many cars, they're all classics and require a down payment, refurbishment, repairs, insurance fees and I need to get rid of the best one so I can enjoy the rest.
The car comes with a set of winter wheels on steel rims with hubcaps.
A fresh technical inspection is done, and a freshly paid OC.
