SKODA OCTAVIA 2 FL 1.8 TSI AmbitionI am offering for sale a second generation Skoda Octavia after facelift from 2011. I am the second owner of the car since 2013. The car is from a Polish showroom, accident-free, regularly serviced at the authorized service station, garaged. The engine itself is a very good compromise between dynamics (160 HP) and fuel consumption (8.8 ltr/100 km city, 6.5-7.5 ltr highway). The car served me without any problems for many years. Unfortunately, over time, a manufacturing defect of the 1.8 TSI engine was revealed in the form of increased oil consumption caused by too thin oil scraper rings. This is a typical, generally known problem of these engines. Currently, the car starts normally and drives without any problems, but the oil consumption is high and the engine requires overhaul (replacement of piston rings or complete third-generation pistons with improved, thicker rings). During operation, I changed the oil at most every 15,000 km. km (Motul Specific 5W30), without long life intervals. The air conditioning is functional. The car is running on 195/65 R15 inch summer tires on steel rims, I am including a second set of wheels with winter tires. I am adding a new battery. The car has a technical inspection valid until 2026/07/16 Third party liability insurance valid until 2026.07.24 I have a set of keys (2 pieces), a service book and receipts confirming service and repairs.
