2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition Debuts Bundling Popular Options
It has 20-inch wheels, roof rails, a power tailgate, and more.

The 2021 Honda Pilot Special Edition is a new trim in the lineup that bundles together popular amenities. Prices for it start at $38,960 for the two-wheel-drive layout or $40,960 with all-wheel drive (plus an $1,120 destination charge for them both). Like the rest of the 2021 Pilot lineup, the Special Edition is now available in showrooms.

The Pilot Special Edition uses the mid-range EX-L trim as a starting point. It adds 20-inch wheels with a black finish, roof rails, front and rear skid garnishes, foot-activated power tailgate, and wireless phone charger. The Special Edition carries a base price of $600 more than an EX-L.

Other changes for the 2021 model year Pilot include the nine-speed automatic being standard across the entire range, rather than previously being limited only to the top trim levels. Even the base LX grade now comes with dual-zone automatic climate control. In addition, the 2021 Pilot Black Edition is now available in a Platinum White Pearl exterior color, which seems to go against the name of this trim.
