CMF-B-based next-gen Dacia Sandero with sleek new design rendered
The previous full model change for the Dacia Sandero happened in October 2012, and the third-gen version is in development.

Auto Plus has created a rendering to speculate on the design of the next-gen Dacia Sandero.

The Dacia Sandero improved remarkably in design when it moved to its second generation. The French magazine suggests that the low-cost car will take an even more significant leap for its third generation.

The rendered next-gen Dacia Sandero has better proportions. It looks a lot more balanced and athletic, mainly because of its imposing front-end comprising sleeker headlamps, slimmer radiator grille, beefier bumper with strongly contoured corners and thinner and sharper lower air intake. The extra body cladding and flush roof rails indicate we are looking at the Stepway adventure variant.

The all-new Dacia Sandero will arrive as the first Dacia model underpinned by the CMF-B platform, marking a significant milestone for the Romanian low-cost brand. The Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance is developing two versions of the CMF-B platform: CMF-B LS (Low Specifications) and CMF-B HS (High Specifications). The Euro-Japanese conglomerate hasn't specified the difference between the two, but we expect the latter to have a higher level of sophistication required by models developed especially for Europe. The Dacia Sandero will utilise the CMF-B LS version.

The next-gen Dacia Sandero's engine line-up will include a variety of small and compact turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines. Depending on the market, Dacia may offer Ethanol- and CNG-compliant versions. From the current model, at least the 0.9-litre TCe petrol engine and the 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine should continue.

Reports say that the next-gen Dacia Sandero, along with the next-gen Dacia Logan, will arrive towards the end of 2019.
