Mercedes A-Class sedan LWB, C-Class facelift & new Sprinter confirmed for 2018
2017 was a busy year at Mercedes-Benz, with official debuts for the all-new Mercedes E-Class Coupe and all-new Mercedes E-Class Cabriolet, as well as the facelifts of the Mercedes GLA, Mercedes S-Class, Mercedes S-Class Coupe and Mercedes S-Class Cabriolet.

The product onslaught will continue towards the end of 2017 and next year too.

Later this year, the next-gen Mercedes CLS will have its world premiere. The new generation Mercedes CLS will likely set a new benchmark for aerodynamics and have a highly emotional design. The 2017 Los Angeles Motor Show scheduled to open in November seems like a plausible venue for the official unveiling. A Shooting Brake version is not planned this time. The all-new Mercedes G-Class with an evolutionary design will follow.

Later, the fourth-gen Mercedes A-Class will arrive. A sedan version is planned this time, which will sell as the Mercedes A-Class Sedan. Mercedes-Benz previewed this model by the Mercedes Concept A Sedan at Auto Shanghai 2017. It will have a long-wheelbase version, presumably targeted at China and perhaps India. Both A-Class Sedan and A-Class Sedan LWB will arrive next year. The all-new G-Class too will go on sale in 2018. Also planned for next year, are the facelifted Mercedes C-Class, Mercedes GLC F-Cell and Mercedes GLC long-wheelbase and a Mercedes-AMG 4-door coupe based on the Mercedes-AMG GT Concept.

Mercedes-Benz Vans also has a new product for 2018. Besides rolling out the Mercedes X-Class to markets outside Europe, the brand of the commercial products will introduce the all-new Mercedes Sprinter next year. Daimler had said earlier this year that the launch would take place before the end of this decade. The parent company has also confirmed a pure electric variant of it. Beyond 2018, the German automaker will go on the electric offensive with a range of new passenger electric vehicles, under the dedicated EQ brand. The Mercedes EQC is the first model confirmed for launch in 2019. The production Mercedes EQA should follow by 2020.
