Skoda Enyaq iV Lights Up In New Teaser, Debuts September 1
A full debut is just around the corner.

The teasing game for Skoda's first-ever all-electric SUV continues with new sketches previewing the vehicle's lights. Everything is on track for the big debut of the Enyaq iV scheduled for September 1 in Prague and the automaker is taking some time to talk about the headlights and taillights of the utility EV.

The Czech brand seems to be especially proud of the Enyaq iV's headlights, which feature full-LED matrix technology with a hexagonal shape of the main LED modules. They are underlined by "finely-drawn daytime running lights with subtle lashes," which create an even more dynamic visual effect.

Skoda also explains the LED clusters are inspired by the tradition of Bohemian crystal art. This is especially visible with the taillights, which feature "precise lines, geometric arrangements" and "exceptionally clear glass surfaces" to create "ever-changing facets."

All this is possible thanks to the modular electrification toolkit (MEB) platform, which will be used by Skoda for the very first time. The production EV will be 4,648 millimeters (183 inches) long, 1,877 millimeters (73.9 inches) wide, and 1,618 millimeters (63.7 inches) tall - with a 2,765 millimeter (108.9 inches) wheelbase. It won't be massive but thanks to the clever packaging, it'll offer a cargo volume of 585 liters (20.6 cubic feet).

Much like its Volkswagen cousin, the ID.4, the Enyaq iV will be powered by an electric powertrain with either one or two electric motors. The entry-level rear-wheel-drive variant will travel up to 311 miles (500 kilometers) between charges, while the range-topping dual-motor version will cover 286 miles (460 km) per WLTP - but will hit 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in just 6.2 seconds.
