When the folks at Stellantis drop quarterly sales for the US market, said releases often include sales of so-called zombie cars. The Q3 2024 release, for example, listed 2 deliveries of the Dodge Caravan and 347 of the Fiat 500X, with said models discontinued after the 2020 and 2023 model years, respectively.

While on the subject of zombie cars, Stellantis Heritage recently debuted the new Alfa Romeo 4C Collezione GT Nicola Larini, which comprises three stupidly nice mid-engine sports cars. The classic division highlights that said vehicles were produced from older vehicles, modified as a tribute to Italian racing driver Nicola Larini, who enjoyed the greatest success in touring cars.

Larini won the 1992 edition of the Italian Superturismo Championship, followed by the Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft in 1993 and a class win at the 2012 ADAC Zurich 24 Hours of Nürburgring. The model motorsport enthusiasts most often associate with Larini, who also raced in Formula 1, is the high-revving Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI from the 1993 season of the German Touring Car Masters.

A part of the Reloaded by Creators project, the 4C Collezione GT Nicola Larini gang comprises three vehicles with three distinct liveries picked by none other than Larini. Rather than his V6-engined 155 racecar, Larini took inspiration from the Giulia GT of the 1970s for their bi-tone liveries. In addition to Pine Green, Ochre Yellow, and Plum Red, these cars are beautified with a dash of white for the front and rear bumpers.

We can further notice a Biscione logo in white on the front hood, along with a signature of Larini on said panel. Although Stellantis Heritage couldn't be bothered to publish a photograph or even a rendering of the interior, the special treatment further comprises a signature on the dashboard. Special upholstery and lightweight alloys that match the paint of most body panels also need to be mentioned.

Stellantis Heritage didn't say a word in regard to prices, nor did it explain whether any vehicle has a firm order to its name. In any case, it's pretty clear that each vehicle carries an exorbitantly high price, with the Alfa Romeo 4C being expensive in its own right.

Offered in a little over 9,100 units from 2013 through 2020, the Quattro Cilindri was assembled at Maserati's plant in Modena. Not exactly a coincidence, Alfa Romeo took inspiration from the 4C in creating the MC20, a carbon-tubbed supercar that comes to life on the assembly line where the 4C was made.

The carbon-fibber chassis is backed up by aluminum subframes fore and aft, with said carbon-fiber monocoque weighing in at merely 65 kilograms (143 pounds). Including the subframes, reinforcements, and engine mounting assembly, that would be a mere 107 kilograms (236 pounds).

Unfortunately, the lightweight machine didn't get a spicier engine than Alfa Romeo's 1750 TBI version of the 1.75-liter turbo inline-four, an engine that was also featured in the regular-production Spider, Brera, Giulietta, and 159. The 4C Spider was canned from the US market after the 2020 model year, whereas the 4C Coupe's last year in the US was 2018.
