It is a tradition for the Swedish soccer star to buy himself a car on his birthday, October 3. But there are still around ten days left to the day he turns 42.
Last year, he treated himself not to one, but two Ferraris. It was this Daytona SP3 in white, that he is now bragging about on Instagram, together with an 812 Competizione A in red. He uploaded a photo of himself in the Daytona, reflected in the window of a store, captioning it: "My reflection."
Every year on his birthday, he posts a photo of the new car that he buys for himself and a wish in the caption: “Happy birthday, Zlatan!”
Ferrari unveiled the Daytona SP3 as a new member of the brand’s Icona series in 2021. The car is built in a very limited run of only 599 units and each starts at $2.25 million.
The supercar is set in motion by the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 engine. The power plant generates 828 horsepower (840 metric horsepower) and 514 lb-ft (697 Nm) of torque, all steered toward the rear axle via a seven-speed F1DCT automatic gearbox.
The Daytona goes from 0 to 62 mph (100 kph) in 2.85 seconds on its way to a top speed of 211 mph (340 kph).
Not anyone can get their hands on such a supercar. It is Ferrari who decides if they deserve it or not. The Italian automaker selected the 599 customers to receive the exclusive model. One of the conditions was owning a Ferrari for several years. Ibrahimovic has the Enzo and also purchased the 812 Competizione A.
Former AC Milan striker also owns a Ferrari Monza SP1 and SP2. Thus, he easily qualified for the limited edition Daytona SP3. It remains to be seen what is the upcoming supercar that he will be driving home on October 3, the day he turns 42. We are probably going to see him soon roaming the streets of Milan, Italy, in his new motorized gift.
'Ibracadabra' drives the latest, fastest, coolest supercars out there, yet he is under contract with Volvo. This past summer he uploaded a photo of himself leaning against the Volvo EX30 electric crossover, writing "Zmall is mighty!" witht the Z instead of the S as a refrence to his own name.
The Swedish soccer star has been a brand ambassador for the Swedish carmaker for almost a decade. It is unclear though, if the supercar lover owns a Volvo. The entry-level EX30 comes with 264 horsepower (268 PS) and starts at little over $34,000. It is not exactly in Zlatan's league. That price tag is almost 100 times less than Zlatan’s Ferrari Daytona SP3.
