Fiat Freemont, with AWD drive, automatic transmission, and 7 seats. An interesting and extremely functional car.
A few words about the history of the vehicle.
I have been using the car for a relatively short time, since August 2023. I was looking for a spacious car for a few months while waiting to pick up a new one. And yes, I came across Freemont, which met all my expectations.
The car was imported from Germany (not by me), but by a family friend. Before purchasing, I checked the history at the dealership in Olsztyn and it was indeed confirmed that it had been serviced at the dealership in Germany for approximately 195,000 km. The gentlemen from the dealership did not want to tell me how many owners the car had, but probably one from new. I did not receive the vehicle's service book when purchasing it. I don't know if it was published, but the history is visible in the ASO system.
I also received information from the service center that damage to the paintwork of the front passenger door was reported, but it was ultimately not repaired. This information would also be correct as there is indeed a small scratch on this door.
Painting wise, I measured the car before purchasing it and it is all in its original paint. According to information obtained from the seller, only the edge of the front hood was repainted due to stone chips (I did not verify this).
I also checked the car mechanically before purchasing it, which also confirmed its condition and the fact that it was regularly serviced.
I bought the car with a mileage of approximately 210,000 km. I ride a lot, but only on routes, so I managed to drive about 20,000 km - without any problems.
As for my service, I made several repairs, some of which were justified, and some were not so much necessary, but after reading the entries of other users and possible problems of this model that could appear, I decided to do it.
Thus, as of August 2023, the following have been replaced:
- complete timing;
- 2x oils in the engine, gearbox and drives;
- regenerated multi-plate clutch (sometimes it knocked slightly when turning);
- pulley and belt bearing;
- bearings in the front wheels (they were making a slight noise);
- repaired bluetooth module;
- replaced the front lamps with those from the black code model, and the bulbs in these lamps were replaced with LED ones (high and short beam);
- new winter tires purchased (brand new, but probably manufactured in 2018);
- detailing of the paint coating.
Of the minuses:
- at the end of September, the air conditioning began to cool less. I verified why and it turned out that the air conditioning radiator was leaking or oxidized in one place and needed to be replaced because the refrigerant could escape. My workshop ordered the radiator, but we postponed the replacement until spring because I would have to leave the car for 3-4 days and I simply don't have time for it.
Generally, I use the car every day, covering about 300 km. It works flawlessly. The engine, transmission and drives work normally, and everything in the equipment works. During the last oil service, the mechanic also checked the car for any leaks, etc. and he didn't find anything disturbing either.
After purchase, my mechanic created a service book and entered all repairs.
Third party liability insurance and AC fees, as well as technical inspection - valid until August 2024.
I have summer tires, but I think they are for one season (I bought them with them).
The car is private property (formally my wife's). It does not issue VAT invoices or VAT margins.
Of course, I agree to check the car wherever the interested person wants.
