An adult Peugeot, it served as a family car for two generations. First, my father drove it, and after 12 years he gave it to me. Throughout this period, the car was in motion, visited a piece of Poland, and also happened to go abroad. Each time there were periods of less use, it was garaged. On a daily basis, however, it is used for driving, not standing in the garage, so he definitely spent more time outdoors than indoors.
For 7 years, no one has smoked in it or seen any animals, but during these 19 years the car has transported children, adults, smokers and non-smokers, a dog, bicycles, prams, beer from the market, books when moving house and a number of other goods. So it has the right to have some traces of use on the upholstery.
It drives very nicely, both in the city and over longer distances, but it works best on sightseeing routes. He traveled the country in the period before highways, but he also flies on expressways. The engine and gearbox run smoothly.
It looks elegant, like a Peugeot. After all, this is a car for someone who likes Peugeots. Of course, over the years, he has already collected some scratches and chips on the body, but like every man, these are scars that add attractiveness and prove that he has survived all the struggles to which he has been subjected.
Bought in a showroom in Łódź, serviced there for the warranty period, and then regularly maintained in an equally good, but no longer authorized service center. Oil changed 4500 km ago, and filters, brake pads and discs during the last service. In addition, there is a new steering rack, battery, timing and radiator. Probably a few more elements have been replaced, but it's the way of things that they wear out.
The rear window was replaced under warranty, after which a memento remained on the trunk lid.
A set of tires has one - winter, and this is now sufficient for everyday use. And if someone needs summer ones, they will buy some more, because the previous ones have already been disposed of.
How many smokes? On a daily basis, about 7 liters per hundred, and it is always in the range of 6-9. A nice number, but it is known that in the summer on the road it is at the lower limit, and in winter in city traffic jams closer to the upper limit.
Peugeot has a cup holder with coffee, so a satisfied driver can drink coffee in peace. Anyway, there are a lot of storage compartments and shelves, because there is no radio, nor has there ever been. If someone wants, they can install it, and if not, this is where to keep parking tickets.
