Skoda has planned four new crossover/SUV models for China.Of these are the Skoda Kodiaq, the confirmed Skoda Kodiaq Coupe, while the other two are unannounced future models that have just leaked on the web from a Chinese presentation.
Unlike the Kodiaq, which is available in 5- and 7-seat seating configurations, the Kodiaq Coupe will not offer third-row seats.
The Skoda Model Q, reports say, is the second generation Skoda Yeti. As seen in recent spy shots, Skoda has redesigned the Yeti from the ground up to make it look like a proper compact SUV.
Chinese media says that the Skoda Model K is a new sub-compact crossover based on the current Skoda Yeti's platform suggesting that the Model K is probably exclusively for China, similar to the Honda UR-V and the Kia KX3. The Chinese Yeti differs largely from the European version getting a stretched wheelbase and an external spare, and the Model K could be a new top hat altogether.
The SAIC-Volkswagen joint venture will locally produce all four crossover/SUV models and launch them by 2019.
