This is my beloved Xantia, with the most beautiful upholstery in the world! :)
There is a towbar, LPG installation, air conditioning, ABS, factory radio controlled from the steering wheel, lumbar support (!), manual seat height adjustment, electric windows in the front, crank electronics in the rear!
Technical inspection until November 6, 2024, and third party liability insurance until June 16, 2024.
My car is 9 years old, it is in excellent condition, (almost;) everything important works. The most important things that were done:
2015 - comprehensive anti-corrosion protection with Valvoline Tectyl.
2016 - regeneration of aluminum alloys.
2018 - ENGINE replacement! The factory 90 HP 1.8i 8V was weak and "vomited" oil in the winter.
The current engine was taken out of a run-down club Xantia after... a rollover! Happens to the best ones. ;)
This is an excellent 2.0i 16v 132 HP engine, with a mileage of 155,000 at that time. km, today it has approx. 180 thousand km, and the house 202,000.
Luckily, I caught him first and left him in the settlement... he's vomiting! ;)
The strips with the inscription 1.8i suggest that we have 90 horses, but we have more than half of them. ABOUT... HALF!
The gearbox and the complete exhaust were replaced along with the engine, everything works great.
After replacing the engine, a new LPG installation was installed: Alex Optima Nano, SHARK reducer, Barracuda injectors.
ONLY 25,000 miles on gas. kilometers!
2020
- new clutch,
- new timing,
- new door locks, three original keys, plus two for new locks.
- new all-season Michelins. The best! They only traveled 8,000. km.
- I replaced the steering gear, exceptionally... not with a new one! :)
2021 - new cylinder, 7 years of peace! :)
2023 - replacement of 3/4 hydraulic hoses with...? New! Copper. The remaining 1/4 works great.
The hydraulics work perfectly, the car lifts really quickly. And if you lower them completely, bad people won't steal the catalytic converter, but... good ones? ...they won't put a lock on the wheel! :)
Oh, how soft it rides! And it doesn't shake at all? - the passengers are surprised. Bah. Hydropneumatic it is! Well-kept! :)
In the trunk I leave a Clarion 6-CD changer to be installed, one new rear sphere (the second one was recently replaced), 2 used LHM pumps, oil and 2 liters of LHM.
So that the Dear Buyer can get home stress-free, he will receive a Princess gassed like a balloon and so full of alcohol that she will barely be able to stay on... her wheels! :)
The jacks have already been made, it's time for the rumps! ;)
The car is from Germany, I suspect it was bought damaged (from Turas?!), because carVertical reported the damage in February 2011 (estimated repair cost PLN 2,000-6,000) and the Xantia was put up for sale then. I don't know the type of damage, but I can console myself that it was a minor thing, such as abrasion, and not a bell, after which the car was assembled from two others! ;), because my Xantia has been driving straight for 9 years and doesn't rust! :) Of course, nothing knocks, nothing knocks.
First owner in Poland from May 2012 to June 2015. Then there was a used car dealership and me! :)
Here are the minor drawbacks.
The tachometer lowers the readings, and at idle speed it shows... zero! :) The fuel gauge is also low. And a speedometer, which is a real rarity! :) I'm driving, for example, 80 km/h and it shows just over 70. A very useful thing for carrying a grumpy mother-in-law who says: "Oh, don't drive so fast!" ;) Mom, less than 140 is perfectly legal on the highway (and we actually have a lot over 150... :)
To make the radio play, you need to enter the code each time. This is quite useful, because it gives the car time to fully rise! :))
Possibly a central locking remote control (I have 3 "guts"); and every day we have 2 additional door keys. After all, it's a 25-year-old classic, so let everyone see that it opens with a key. :)
There are minor paint defects: e.g. on the hood, doors and rear bumper.
The side moldings are a little oxidized and the left one has a small gap... okay, it sticks out a mile! :)
It is worth covering the steering wheel with leather. It was a bit worn (that's normal for this model), so the mechanic decided to paint it. And I reluctantly agreed. And I've got it! Kiera is shining like a dog's nose! :)
Xantia's rear bumper was replaced. The original one scored some points... but not because of me! :) Oblivious to folk wisdom (the one about the wife and the car), I lent the car to a friend and he happened to have such an adventure. Anyway, it's better with my car than... ;)
And recently, on a winter night, I knocked on a newly erected post. Was he waiting for me especially?
The left mirror was damaged by an unknown perpetrator and replaced with a new one that needs to be painted.
I adjust them with my finger because the control lever doesn't work... What a tragedy! :))
And that's it, you can drive and do nothing in the car.
The Princess is extremely comfortable, quite dynamic, and thanks to LPG, also economical. In the city they consumed 12 liters of gas, on the highway less than 10. Hmm, and this friend can get down to 7-8... Shocking!
And it still bothers me that I don't know how to drive. Because he is an honest person, just like me! :)
I'm selling it with pain, but... not by force, because I have two other cars, so maybe one of them?
